[deutsch siehe unten] Quite a few years ago Cecilia "Lili" Plieninger published her debut album Touch and Go under the band name WILDEVE (a reference to a character in Thomas Hardy's novel "Return of the Native"). In 2008, the follow-up album "Memories" was released under her name Cecilia, in 2011 as download album on iMusician Digital.
A new release, "In a Little While", is released on May 5, 2014, as download only at iTunes or Amazon in Europe. WILDEVE/Touch and Go is now out of print but available as 2nd hand copies/new copies on Amazon Marketplace, as well as digital download on iTunes or Amazon. At the moment, Cecilia's musical endeavours are writing songs and studio recordings.
The band was already formed back in 1995; before Cecilia performed backing vocals for British progressive rock bands LANDMARQ and Casino with Clive Nolan (SHADOWLAND, CAAMORA) and Karl Groom (THRESHOLD) at Thin Ice Studios in England and was in several bands. She recorded several demos as well, for instance "Memory of You" with Clive and Karl in the UK, and was shortly a member of a London based R'n'B band. Cecilia also contributed backing vocals to a self-titled album by German progressive band Rejoice, a Reutlingen based group.
In 1996 she got her first record deal and recorded her first album. In her group WILDEVE, she contributed vocals, electric and acoustic guitar and keyboards. The songs are mainly written by Cecilia. This album not only received nationwide best reviews (e.g. Metal Hammer, Intro, Breakout, Visions, Zillo, local press, Internet press, fan press, etc.pp.) but also caught attention in France, England, US, Italy, and even in Japan. Several songs were featured on compilations. Cecilia sold a few songs to the producer of German pop singer Mandy Winter and did vocals for some commercials. During the "Touch and Go" tour she played support gigs with her band for artists such as Jule Neigel Band, Kinderzimmer Productions, Coalminers' Beat, Die Happy, Dead Poets, Werner Dannemann, Madonna Hip Hop Massaker and a lot of headliner concerts.
Since then Cecilia made a huge step forward with regard to her music. She played a lot of gigs with her band, composed many new songs, and performed as a guest singer on several productions. During that time she still worked on new songs in the studio with co-producer Hayo Well at JOWA Studios. Finally, her second album came out – "Memories" – which is available in a very limited edition on compact disc via mail-order only and as download worldwide on iTunes or Amazon.
Cecilia was already confirmed in her music many years ago when Curt Cress, producer and one of Germany's top session drummers (Saga, Maggie Reilly, Tina Turner, Rick Springfield, Alphaville, etc.), received a demo tape by Cecilia aka Lili via Klaus Doldinger (Passport) and acknowledged the "wonderful" demo tracks and the "amazing skills" of the young singer and composer.

Von "Touch and Go", dem Debütwerk der Sängerin, Songwriterin und Multi-Instrumentalistin Cecilia "Lili" Plieninger, bis zum zweiten Werk "Memories" vergingen ein paar Jährchen. Am 5. Mai 2014 erscheint der dritte Release "In a Little While" auf iMusician Digital. Im Moment ist Cecilias Musikprojekt reines Songwriting und Studioarbeit. So entstand etwa eine Akustikversion und ein Videoclip von Eternal Rain im Dezember 2013 im Esslinger ARTES-Studio.
Mitte der 90er erhielt Cecilia ihren ersten Plattenvetrag und brachte mit Hilfe befreundeter Musiker unter dem Bandnamen WILDEVE das Album "Touch and Go" heraus (der Name einer Romanfigur in Thomas Hardys Roman "Return of the Native"). Die Platte heimste nicht nur national positive Kritiken ein (Metal Hammer, Fachblatt Musikmagazin, Intro, Zillo, Breakout, Heavy oder was, Visions, Lift, Prinz, Tagespresse, Stadtmagazine usw.), sondern weckte auch bei Fan- und Internetpresse sowie in Frankreich, England, USA, Italien und Japan großes Interesse. Einige Songs landeten auf Compilations. Auch die Live-Präsenz der Gruppe fand ein reges Medienecho. An den Produzenten der Popsängerin Mandy WINTER verkaufte Cecilia einige Songs. Sie sang auch Werbespots ein. Mit ihrer Band spielte sie Support Gigs auf der "Touch and Go"-Tour für Jule Neigel Band, Die Happy, Coalminers' Beat, Dead Poets, Werner Dannemann, Kinderzimmer Productions, Madonna Hip Hop Massaker und etliche Headliner-Konzerte.
Davor war sie in Bands wie der Reutlinger Gruppe SILENCE, nahm mit Clive Nolan, Produzent und Musiker in England (ARENA [ex-MARILLION], SHADOWLAND, CAAMORA), den Track "Memory of You" in den Thin Ice Studios auf. Karl Groom, seines Zeichens Gitarrist bei der britischen Metalformation THRESHOLD, zupfte dabei die Gitarrensaiten und wirkte beim Mix mit. Cecilia sang auch die Backing Vocals für die Progressive-Rock-Bands LANDMARQ und Casino in England unter Nolans Regie ein und war kurzzeitig Mitglied einer Londoner R'n'B-Gruppe.
Seitdem hat sich Cecilia als Künstlerin enorm weiterentwickelt. Sie absolvierte etliche Gigs mit ihrer Band, komponierte viele neue Songs und wurde bei mehreren Produktionen als Studiosängerin engagiert. Endlich erschien das Nachfolgealbum "Memories", es ist als Download bei iTunes oder Amazon erhältlich sowie in limitierter Auflage auf Compact Disc. Auch das Album "Touch and Go" ist mittlerweile als Download erhältlich. Als CD ist das Album noch bei Amazon Marketplace zu finden.
Bestärkt wurde Cecilia in ihrer Musik schon vor Jahren, als Curt Cress, Produzent und einer von Deutschlands Top-Sessiondrummern (Saga, Maggie Reilly, Tina Turner, Rick Springfield, Alphaville etc.), durch Klaus Doldinger (Passport) ein Demotape von Cecilia in die Finger bekam und der jungen Sängerin und Komponistin "wunderbare" Demotracks und ein "erstaunliches Können" bescheinigte.
Musical Education
Cecilia ist Sängerin und Komponistin aus dem Raum Stuttgart. Mit 15 Jahren begann sie, Songs zu schreiben und zu singen. In der Schule leitete sie eine Musical-AG. Nach der Schule, mit 19, hatte sie ihre erste Band. Es folgten weitere Bands sowie Jobs als Studiosängerin, unter anderem in London. Ihren ersten Live-Auftritt absolvierte Cecilia schon in jungen Jahren -- bei einem Konzert des Gesangsvereins! Mit sieben Jahren begann sie, Klavier zu spielen, bald darauf erlernte sie Violine sowie klassische und akustische Gitarre. Ein wenig später nahm sie Gesangsunterricht.
Cecilia came in touch with music very early. From the age of seven she played piano, later on also violin, classical and acoustic guitar. Shortly afterwards, she took singing lessons. She also electric rhythm guitar. Cecilia wrote her first songs when she was 15 years old. At school she supervised a musical group. She was in her first band, RUSHHOUR, at the age of 19. More bands followed, jobs as studio singer etc.
